Black Cow Pure Milk Vodka is one of Britain’s most innovative craft spirits, produced in the rolling countryside of West Dorset. Created by dairy farmer Jason Barber and artist Paul Archard, it was developed with a simple yet pioneering vision: to transform the by-product of traditional cheesemaking into an exceptionally smooth premium vodka.

The Barber family has been producing award-winning cheese for generations. During cheesemaking, milk is separated into curds and whey, with the curds becoming cheese while the whey was traditionally considered a by-product. Recognising its untapped potential, Jason Barber developed a unique fermentation and distillation process that transformed whey into what is recognised as the world’s first Pure Milk Vodka.

Unlike conventional vodkas made from grain or potatoes, Black Cow begins with milk from grass-grazed cows in Dorset. The whey is carefully fermented before being distilled and refined into an exceptionally pure spirit with a naturally silky mouthfeel, subtle creamy notes and remarkable smoothness. This pioneering process combines British farming heritage with modern distillation expertise to create a vodka unlike any other.
