About Martell VS

Martell VS is a smooth and fruit-forward Cognac from one of the oldest of the great Cognac houses. Fresh, elegant and approachable, it combines ripe orchard fruit, delicate floral notes and gentle oak in a style that works equally well enjoyed neat or in a classic cocktail.

Maison Martell was founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, who travelled from Jersey to Cognac and established a house that would become one of the most recognised names in French spirits. More than three centuries later, Martell remains known for an elegant house style built around expressive fruit and refined texture.

A distinctive part of Martell’s approach is the distillation of clear wines, with the lees removed before distillation. This helps create a clean, delicate spirit in which fresh fruit and floral character can shine. Maturation in fine-grained French oak then adds subtle spice, vanilla and gentle woody notes without overwhelming the Cognac.
