Jura Bourbon Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a smooth and approachable island whisky that connects the rugged character of Scotland’s remote Isle of Jura with the sweet influence of American oak bourbon barrels.

The story of Jura begins on the Isle of Jura, a wild and beautiful island in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides known for its dramatic landscapes, roaming deer, and small close-knit community. Originally founded in 1810, the distillery later fell silent before being completely rebuilt in 1963 with an important purpose — to help revive the island economy and support the local community.

Although located close to Islay, famous for its intensely smoky whiskies, Jura follows its own distinctive path. The distillery uses exceptionally tall copper stills, designed to create a lighter, cleaner spirit by encouraging only the finest vapours to continue through distillation.

This produces Jura’s signature style — smooth, fruity, and elegant rather than heavily peated.

Matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, this expression highlights the natural partnership between Jura’s delicate island spirit and classic bourbon cask influence. The oak contributes layers of vanilla, caramel sweetness, gentle spice, and warmth while allowing the whisky’s fresh fruit character to shine.
