Johnnie Walker Green Label 15-Year-Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a unique expression within the Johnnie Walker family — crafted entirely from single malt whiskies with no grain whisky added.

Created by Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge and originally launched in 1997 as Johnnie Walker Pure Malt, Green Label was designed to capture the diversity of Scotland’s whisky regions by combining the character of carefully selected single malts into one balanced expression.

Unlike traditional blended Scotch whiskies, which combine malt and grain whiskies, Green Label is a blended malt. Every whisky included has been matured for a minimum of 15 years, bringing together the depth of aged single malt with the harmony and consistency of expert blending.

At the heart of Green Label are four distinctive single malt styles representing different sides of Scotland:

• Talisker from the Isle of Skye contributes maritime character, pepper, and gentle smoke
• Caol Ila from Islay brings coastal peat and depth
• Cragganmore from Speyside adds sweetness, complexity, and elegance
• Linkwood from Speyside provides fresh fruit and floral notes

After being renamed Johnnie Walker Green Label in 2004, the whisky developed a dedicated following among enthusiasts who appreciated its malt-focused character.

When production was discontinued in many markets in 2012, whisky fans strongly voiced their disappointment, recognising Green Label as one of the most distinctive bottles in the Johnnie Walker range. Its popularity led to a return to global production, preserving its 15-year age statement and original character.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh orchard fruit, vanilla, honey, gentle smoke, malt sweetness, and light coastal notes.
