Crafted at the historic Talisker Distillery, it captures the distillery’s unmistakable maritime character. However, its softer and sweeter style also makes it an approachable introduction to Scotland’s island whiskies.

Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye. Its unique coastal location on the shores of Loch Harport has shaped its whisky for almost two centuries. As a result, Talisker has become renowned for its balance of sea salt, gentle smoke and famous peppery warmth.

The Talisker Story

Talisker Skye is matured in a combination of toasted and refill American oak casks. This creates greater sweetness while preserving the distinctive island character found throughout the Talisker range.

Notes of honey, vanilla, citrus and soft oak complement delicate peat smoke and warming spice. Together, these flavours create exceptional balance from the first sip to the last.

The distillery overcame a devastating fire in 1960. Afterwards, its iconic stills were meticulously recreated to preserve Talisker’s unique spirit character. Today, every bottle continues that legacy. It reflects generations of craftsmanship and the wild environment surrounding Scotland’s only distillery on the Isle of Skye.
