Talisker 10-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a powerful and distinctive island whisky shaped by the rugged landscape, maritime climate, and dramatic history of the Isle of Skye.

Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the shores of Loch Harport, Talisker has become one of Scotland’s most recognisable island single malts. Surrounded by wild seas, dramatic mountains, and changing coastalweather, the distillery’s location has become central to its identity.

Throughout its history, Talisker has shown remarkable resilience. After facing periods of financial difficulty and ownership changes during the 19th century, the distillery eventually became recognised for producing a uniquely bold andcharacterful spirit.

In 1960, disaster struck when a fire destroyed the still house. Rather than modernising the production process, the distillery carefully rebuilt the copper stills to match the originals, preserving the distinctive character that made Taliskerfamous.

The whisky’s unmistakable style comes from its traditional production methods, including unique copper still design and classic worm tub condensers. These help create Talisker’s signature combination of rich texture, maritime influence, gentle smoke, and famous peppery spice.

Originally introduced as part of the Classic Malts Selection, Talisker 10-Year-Old helped bring island single malt whisky to a wider global audience. Bottled at its distinctive 45.8% ABV, it delivers additional intensity while maintaining balance.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sea air, peat smoke, citrus, malt sweetness, pepper spice, and coastal character.

Palate: Full-bodied and warming with layers of smoke, sea salt, sweet malt, dried fruit, cracked pepper, and oak spice.

Finish: Long and powerful with lingering smoke, maritime notes, spice, and Talisker’s signature peppery warmth.
